Remote Energy Monitoring

A home energy monitor provides instant and convenient feedback on a customer's electrical energy consumption. This device notifies the customer on the cost of energy being used, and estimates their monthly electricity bill, based on the present consumption pattern. The customer can then adjust his consumption pattern to reduce costs before the bill arrives. Various studies have shown a significant reduction in energy consumption through the use of a home energy monitor.

These energy monitors can relay information to consumers in different ways. Depending on your lifestyle, you can choose:

• A browser-based display;
• A stylish "in-home" display unit;
• A mobile phone application (iPhone, Blackberry and Android)

The Energy Detective

The Energy detective is a basic but effective method of determining your real-time energy consumption. This device measures your kWh consumption, voltage and accumulated energy costs on a "second-by-second" basis. This system is very user friendly – information can be viewed on a sleek in-home display unit, or on a web browser. Detailed features are:

• Real-time measurement of voltage and total power consumption
• Email alerts when electricity costs exceed budget

The eMonitor

The eMonitor is a more sophisticated device that not only determines your total energy consumption, but also measures the energy consumption of individual devices in your home (such as your washing machine, pump and refrigerator). With this detailed information, you can quickly get to the root of your consumption issues. Like the Energy Detective, this device also measures your kWh consumption, voltage and accumulated energy costs on a "second-by-second" basis. This system is very user friendly – information can be viewed on a web browser. Detailed features are:

• Real-time measurement of voltage and total power consumption
• Real-time measurement of appliance consumption (fridge, a/c, lights etc)
• Email alerts when electricity costs exceed budget
• Email alerts when appliances function abnormally or use excessive energy
