New! ANGLEC Installs Advanced Metering Systems

 

With the first phases of our post Irma restoration complete, we are pleased to announce that we are making exciting changes to reinforce and improve our service offering at The Anguilla Electricity Company Ltd. (ANGLEC). One such improvement is the continuation of our Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) for Central and Eastern areas.

New AMI meters have already been installed in the Western parts of Anguilla, bringing great benefits to those in the area.

Some of the immediate benefits include:

  • Less estimates and improved meter readings (read more on estimates here)
  • Improved billing (bills can be done on the same date each month)
  • Energy management through profile data graphs that will be available to customers online
  • Less financial burden through better consumption management tools
  • Remote meter reading generates more timely,
    accurate bills, eliminating the need for manual readings and estimates
  • Connect/disconnect service remotely
  • Diagnose many meter issues.
  • Fulfill remote service connection and disconnection orders in
    hours instead of days.

What to expect during AMI instillation and after?

  • You will notice ANGLEC personnel performing work in your area and on your meter within the next few months.
  • Your meter number (located on your bill and on the meter at your property) will change.
  • Your usage will be monitored and measured just as before installation, however, the data will be available in real time once your new meter is up and running.
