Senior Power Plant Engineer Vacancy

The Anguilla Electricity Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Senior Plant Engineer. This position will require the incumbent to oversee the day to day engineering operations of the company’s generation plant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of Five (5) years Electrical Utility Managerial Engineering experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the day to day operations of the generation department to ensure that system load demands are met.
- Coordinate the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and programmes for the Company’s generating plant
- Responsible for providing electrical and/or mechanical resolutions to plant problems.
- Take a hands-on approach by working with mechanics, electricians, engineering and operations teams to ensure the plant is operational.
- Ensure the serviceability of tools, equipment and materials required to achieve operational objectives.
- Develop and recommend standards, procedures and specifications to be used in the generation department.
- Provide high impact feedback to employees in the plant
- Provide technical advice, supervision, guidance and on the job training for employees

The priorities for this position include quality assurance and problem resolution, communication proficiency, leadership, project management and analysis.
Remuneration:
Based on qualifications and experience.
