JOB POSTING
The Anguilla Electricity Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Diesel Mechanic in the Generation Department.
Main Functions, Duties & Responsibilities of the position include:
- Maintain power plant’s equipment and related auxiliary equipment in accordance with established standards, specifications, and practices.
- Carry out the removal, repair, replacement and overhaul of engine components and auxiliary equipment in accordance with existing maintenance schedules, standards, specifications, and procedures to ensure that maintenance targets are met.
- Conduct diagnostic tests on engines and components to determine the causes of operational malfunction and recommend corrective measures.
- Execute and record all work order activity/actions in the maintenance software.
- Troubleshoot and rectify faults on the units and auxiliary equipment in accordance with approved standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required by the job function.
Qualifications, Requirements & Experience:
- A technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent accreditation
- At least one (1) year of experience in a similar or related job position
Skills Required:
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Problem identification, analysis and solving skills
