TEMPORARY CONTRACTUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – Electrician
The Anguilla Electricity Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for consideration as part of ANGLEC’s post Hurricane Restoration team in the capacity of a contracted Electrician.
The deadline for application has been extended to Monday September 21st, 2020
Main duties & responsibilities of the position are as follows:
- Work with ANGLEC’s Transmission and Distribution teams during Hurricane Restoration as needed
- Carry out electrical checks and inspections of electrical installations including service lines and metering equipment.
- Install and make service connections.
- Handle and prepare electrical conductors for reuse, including splicing.
- Must be able to work both at ground level and up the pole, to an operating height of 25feet on the low voltage side.
- Must have a good knowledge and be able to work with, the various pole top materials and equipment.
- Must be suitably equip with the necessary tools and equipment to function autonomously on the job.
Qualifications:
The candidate should possess a technical certificate in Electrical Studies, an equivalent accreditation (and experience of 2 years) or for those without a technical certificate there must be a minimum of 10 years professional experience.
Remuneration is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
