Electricity Conservation

It is essential to ensure that electrical appliances are only plugged in when you are using them. Appliances that are turned off but still plugged in can continue to consume electricity. Appliances that consume a large amount of electricity like heaters and air conditioning units should always be unplugged when not in use.

How is the fuel surcharge calculated?

As per the Electricity Act, ANGLEC's electricity tariff is subject to a surcharge of 1 cent per kWh for every 10 cents per gallon increase in the price of fuel over $3.64 per gallon, or as in a formula:

Fuel_Surcharge = (Diesel_Price - 3.64) / 10
